Dr. Harit Nijjar is a highly experienced dentist with over 25 years of expertise in providing quality dental care. After earning her BDS from GDC Amritsar, India in 1991, she successfully passed the California dental license exam at the University of California, San Francisco in 1994. Dr. Nijjar is committed to staying at the forefront of dental advancements by regularly attending post-graduate and continuing education courses.
In 2004, she established Coddingtown Dental Care, where she provides a comprehensive range of dental services. These include cleanings, fillings, extractions, teeth bleaching, bonding, crowns, bridges, dentures, veneers, Invisalign, dental implants, and oral cancer detection. Dr. Nijjar cares for patients and ensures they receive the appropriate specialized care when needed.
She has lived in Santa Rosa with her family since 2001. She is a proud mother of her two sons who followed her footsteps, and both became dentists. Outside of her practice, she loves embracing the tranquility of nature through yoga and hiking, finding balance and inspiration in the outdoors. When she’s not caring for patients, she cherishes time spent with her family and friends, enjoying the simple pleasures of life with her favorite music and dance.

Dr. Simar Nijjar is proud to be a general dentist at Coddingtown Dental Care, continuing a legacy of compassionate, high-quality care established by his mother. Raised in Santa Rosa, he attended Austin Creek Elementary, Rincon Valley Middle, and Maria Carrillo High School before pursuing his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Following his passion for dentistry, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University. Recognized for his excellence in both oral surgery and endodontics, Dr. Simar Nijjar received an award from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons for “Outstanding Achievement And Performance In Undergraduate Oral Surgery” and was honored by the endodontic department for completing numerous root canal treatments.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Simar Nijjar gained invaluable experience practicing in the Chicago area for a year before returning to California to serve his hometown community. He brings a strong commitment to personalized care, ensuring each patient feels comfortable and well-informed about their dental health.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Simar Nijjar is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Redwood Empire Dental Society, where he stays up-to-date on the latest advancements in dentistry to provide the best possible care to his patients.
Outside of the office, Dr. Simar Nijjar enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle. You can often find him on the golf course, hiking the scenic trails of Northern California, or practicing yoga to stay grounded and energized. He is also an avid sports fan, cheering on the Warriors and the 49ers.
